Base Material & Forming Process

 
Solar C purlin is manufactured from Q235B and Q355B carbon structural steel via automatic cold roll forming. Dimensional tolerance of bent cross-section is controlled within ±0.5mm with burr-free edges. All profiles undergo full hot-dip galvanization with zinc coating thickness ≥85μm, forming metallurgical bonding between zinc and steel without peeling or bare spots, fit for long-term outdoor exposure, coastal salt fog and humid agricultural environments.
 
Available wall thickness ranges from 1.2mm to 3.0mm, web height 70–300mm, flange width 50–200mm, maximum customized length up to 6 meters. Pre-punched standard slotted holes eliminate on-site cutting and drilling work.
 

Main Application Scenarios

 
As secondary load-bearing components for solar mounting systems, solar C purlins are widely used in utility-scale ground PV farms, rooftop distributed PV and agrivoltaic projects. They serve as main beams, cross rails, diagonal braces and base frames to evenly distribute static weight, wind and snow loads of solar panels.

  2. Modular fast assembly: Uniform pre-drilled holes allow direct bolt connection with matching HDG fasteners without field welding, ensuring consistent installation accuracy. The inner C groove can accommodate PV cables to save wiring accessories.
  3. Stable long-term anti-corrosion performance: Integrated hot-dip galvanized layer blocks moisture and salt erosion, with controllable corrosion rate to meet the 25-year low-maintenance service life standard of photovoltaic projects.
 
 Matching Assembly Accessories
 
Complete supporting kits including C purlin connectors, hot-dip galvanized bolts, base supports and panel clamps are available. Uniform galvanizing treatment for all components prevents galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals.
